Blood donation to a non-Muslim:
Is it permissible for me to donate blood to a patient nearly to perished and he is non-muslim?

I do not know objection to that, because God Almighty says in his great book: <<Allah forbids you not, with regard to those who fight you not for (your) Faith nor drive you out of your homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them: for Allah loveth those who are just.>>. (Translation from ZEKR SOFTWARE because Quran is in arabic.)
Almighty told that he do not forbade us about unbelievers who did not fight us and did not drive us out of our homes from dealing kindly and justly with them, and the distressed in serious need of aid, The mother of Asma' daughter of Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased came to her daughter, and she is an unbeliever, in Al-Madinah at the time of the armistice between the Prophet peace be upon him and the people of Mecca ask her relevant, Asma` asks the prophet about that and the prophet answers her to do that (the relevant) (while her mother is unbeliever.)........................
NOTE: This is a translation from an arabic website: "binbaz.org.sa" from ZEKR program and "google translate" website from my mind. as im not a native english but i tried to get the best translation for Al-Fatwa of shaikh bin baz.

What is an Optic Disk Drive or ODD

Optic Disk Drive or ODD is a disk drive that uses laser light or electromagnetic waves within or near the visible light spectrum as part of the process of reading or writing data to or from optical discs. Enhanced Write Filter "EWF"

Enhanced Write Filter or EWF is a component of windows xp embedded and windows embedded standard 7 which filters writes to another medium instead of being physically written to the volume itself. EWF allows the writes to be discarded or committed to the physical volume later (either directly or through inaction based on the configuration) As this minimizes writes to a specified hard disk, EWF and FBWF (File Based Write Filter) have become popular in enthusiast computing as a way to decrease wear of Solid state drives on NetBooks and CarPC's.
Operating Modes
EWF has three main operating modes: EWF Disk, EWF RAM, and EWF RAM Reg. The modes differ in the configuration of the Enhanced Write Filter and the location to which the drives are diverted.
